Sepia ebony
The bench's structure is made of ebonized Chestnut wood: a vinegar-based treatment that brings an intense black color to the wood.
Sepia takes its name from the cuttlefish ( sepia officinalis ) for the wooden "bone" that gives the seat its shape. And its ability to find its place into any décor.

Maërl's commitement
All our creations are handmade in France by our trusted craftsmen: tanners, saddlers, upholsterers, machinists and boilermakers with whom we work to create unique objects.
We are constantly striving to improve our production. We combine contemporary design with traditional craftsmanship, using only traditional glues, varnishes and waxes and no synthetic products.
The name "Maerl" is rich in meaning: it refers to a seaweed endemic to the Breton coastline, symbolizing local, sustainable natural beauty in harmony with the environment.
the Ocean is our muse. Each drawing tells the story of a sea creature. The ocean is more beautiful without plastic, and so are our chairs
