Dory
The solid wood ball is intriguing. In addition to its ornemental aspect, it is also a place for the hand of the person sitting on it. Dory combines the comfort of Maërl seatings with the impact of a decorative object.
The seat is padded with natural fibers and the structure is in patinated steel. Dory is thus part of our synthetic-free design approach.

All our creations are handmade in France by our trusted craftsmen: tanners, saddlers, upholsterers, machinists and boilermakers with whom we work to create unique objects.
We are constantly striving to improve our production. We combine contemporary design with traditional craftsmanship, using only traditional glues, varnishes and waxes and no synthetic products.
The name "Maerl" is rich in meaning: it refers to a seaweed endemic to the Breton coastline, symbolizing local, sustainable natural beauty in harmony with the environment.
the Ocean is our muse. Each drawing tells the story of a sea creature. The ocean is more beautiful without plastic, and so are our chairs.
